Christmas 2005 Newsletter
Dear Friends
Just a brief note from us to bring you up to date for 2005.
Sadly, Sue’s father died [aged 91] in May after a gradual decline and in October, Moira, his wife also died. So our ties with Ashburton have come to an end and we are now the elder generation!
More positively, our first grandchild was born on October 10th – a son, Noah John born to Michael and Dez. They are living in Nottingham, at the present but will spend Christmas in Australia – so we miss his first Christmas! Michael is now out of education and working as a freelance pianist. He has now had 2 gigs at Jules Holland’s club in Brum!!
Jackie, now with Andy, lives in Kent. Jackie is in her third year of re-training as an osteopath.
Andrew is now with Caroline and her children, Bethany [10] and Joshua [7]. They live locally to us, in Ashcott and Andrew is finally using his training as a surveyor and thoroughly enjoying it!
Richard continues to work in Oxford but hopes to have a posting abroad in 2006. He spends most of his free time climbing nowadays.
Sue continues to work as a counsellor and David, whilst continuing to do home maintenance, decorating etc. now has a lathe and is producing wooden artefacts also. Both of us are fully involved in planning for changes in our church building, to bring it more up to date and relevant to the 21st Century.
We hope you have a pleasant Christmas and a peaceful New Year. We would love to see you, should you find yourselves in Somerset any time.
